Excursion
Conference participants will be arranged to visit Yehliu Geopark (link) and Juming Museum (link) on May 7th, 2008.
Yehliu is a peninsula on the north coast of Taiwan, famous for the curious and fascinating shapes carved by sea erosion.
Juming Museum is the exhibition grounds for works by Ju Ming, one of Taiwan's most renowned modern sculptors. Details can be found here.

Banquet
The conference banquet will be held at Restaurant Shinyeh 101, located at the 85th floor of Taipei 101 (Asia's tallest skyscraper)
in the evening of May 8th, 2008.

Cultural Activity
Conference participants will be arranged to enjoy the concert
"Silk Road" at Auditorium (Ganugfu Hall) of Zhongshan Hall.

Music: Chemirani Trio
Time: 19:30-21:30

The site of Zhongshan Hall was used as the goverment
office in Taipei in Ching Dynasty, as the Taipei City Hall
under the Japanese government, and then as the official meeting
place under the Chinese government. It has become a major
national cultural monument of Taiwan. More history about

Currency and Credit Card



The unit of currency in Taiwan is New Taiwan Dollar (NTD). Major foreign currencies, traveler checks, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, banks and the airport. The current exchange rate is approximately 30.5 NT to 1 USD and 46NT to 1 Euro.


Visa



Citizens of the following countries can visit Taiwan for up to 30 days without a pre-approved visa

Landing Visas 
Nationals of  Hungary, Poland and Slovak.
